Barbecued Beef Cubes

Serves 6

As promised, here is another BBQ recipe. It is extremely easy to marinate and just as easy to BBQ. Use metal skewers as beef is heavy and wooden skewers won’t hold up. Enjoy these with flat bread, salad and yogurt if you like.

back
What you need:

2 pounds beef cubed
½ cup yogurt
1.5 tbsps papaya paste
1 tsp garlic paste
1 tsp ginger paste
½ tsp turmeric powder
Salt to taste
1 tsp Garam Masala powder
½ cup fried onions
½ tsp red chilli powder
2 tbsps Canola oil

How To:

1.       In a blender, puree yogurt, papaya paste, garlic paste, turmeric powder, salt, garam masala, fried onions and red chilli powder. Do not add water.
2.       Mix canola oil, beef cubes and the blended mixture.
3.       Marinate overnight or for 24 hours (even better).
4.       Take out 30mins before threading onto metal skewers.
5.       BBQ on medium flame for about 25-30mins.
6.       Remove from skewers and place in a foil pan and cover with foil until ready to eat. This way they won’t dry up.

ENJOY
