If you’re looking for a light dessert that takes minutes to make, then these cute raspberry and blueberry jello cups are right for you. It will be the perfect dessert to serve after a heavy meal. It’s also just the right size for those of us who want one serving of something sweet. Although, I must say that some people who love Jello can eat the entire package by themselves. The blueberries can be seen floating in the cup and are wonderful to bite into. You can decorate with whipping cream if you like, but I like them just the way they are. My youngest son helped me make this today. He spooned the blueberries into the cups and stirred the jello for me. I poured the jello into the cups and then waited for them to cool. Voila, easy as pie!
Tandoori Jerk Chicken you say? Well, Tandoori Chicken is immensely popular in South Asia and that popularity extends to foodies all over the world. People make Tandoori chicken on the bbq, in the oven and even stove top. The same can be said about Jerk Chicken- the only difference? The taste + the origin of the 2 delicious dishes. Jerk spice mixes have been made popular by Jamaicans and now most of us enjoy it, especially in North America. I make both Tandoori and Jerk Chicken but some times, I mix the 2. Because I can! I’ll tell you this- it’s a spicy, mind blowing combination! You won’t forget it any time soon. Mmmm!
Dream a little dream of summer barbecues while devouring this heart warming Potato, Carrot & Oyster Mushroom Soup
This Potato, Carrot & Oyster Mushroom Soup is very filling and delicious- almost more like a stew really in the consistency. It’s hearty, easy to make and won’t break the bank either, so it makes a great weeknight dinner meal. Although you don’t need the rice, it tastes wonderfully filling with it and you do not need anything else. Top it up with some freshly squeezed lemon- mmm lovely! Enjoy this soup in the last leg of winter as you dream about barbecues and cool lemonade.
Listen up guys, here is a last minute Valentines Gift Idea for your wives and girlfriends. I woke up this morning to find this beautiful and oh so perfect gift basket in the kitchen. And no, it was not a last minute idea by the husband- he knew he was gonna do this apparently and hid everything in his car; however, if you guys (or girls!), have not done anything for Valentines and you do celebrate it, then run out to Shoppers or any store really and pick out the simplest things your man/woman loves and put them together in a basket and voila- they will love you for it. Sometimes it's the simplest things that matter, like knowing what he/she loves! In my case these are some of my fave "not so good for me" items, barring the lemons of course hahah because those are delicious AND good for me! (There are chips under those items propping them up). And do NOT, for heaven's sake care if your wife complains she needs to lose some weight. Just get her a nice mix of things with 1 or 2 of the sinful items if that is the case. Don't give her a basket filled with salad boxes or you're probably going to die a painful death. LOL. So forget the night out with dozens of other couples- have a wonderful night at home, save the babysitting costs and keep it simple and lovely by putting a smile on each other's faces. W.P
