Hi all, hope you're dealing with the heat well and are staying cool. We thought we would post some easy dishes to keep you out of the kitchen as much as possible- so here are 2 recipes, one for brekkie or brunch and 1 for a light tasting dinner. Enjoy and as always do let us know what you think. W.P
Hi Foodies, I have been talking to my friends and family about gluten free food and non coeliac wheat sensitivity and a lot of you have been asking for recipes that are gluten free. We make sure to write each and every ingredient we use including what packaged products we use so that you can eliminate or replace anything you dislike or are allergic to. However, we went through the site and have identified recipes as gluten free (as best as we could) if you use the right ingredients (aka no added flour in your spices). Gluten free recipes are now marked with a "GF" and will continue to be.
This is a guest post from my best friend’s mum again- remember the Thai Green Curry? Well she is in town again and I had these delicious treats while I was over at my friend’s place and I HAD to get the recipe from her. For those people who turn up their nose at zucchini, this is a great way to make it interesting and different. The plus side? They are so much fun to look at and are gluten free! Enjoy your Zucchini Boats! W.P
This is a guest post by my friend Najia who is a friend of mine from Elementary school. She moved to the GTA this year and has been experimenting a lot and made these for Ramadan recently and sent us the recipe and picture. I am not brave enough to eat green chillies like this but I am sure a lot of you are! Try these out and let us know what you thought. She will be sending in some more recipes to us soon!
Spring rolls are a favourite snack all over the world. They taste especially great after fasting during Ramadan and are a popular item then. They freeze really well in Ziploc bags so you can make many at a time and have them handy. Do not defrost before frying- fry them on medium heat straight from the freezer. Almost every country has their own versions of them with different fillings. Here are some of the fillings that I use for variety.
