Move over Butter Chicken and make way for the Vegetarian, Indulgent, Drool worthy Butter Paneer!

Creamy, velvety, melt in your mouth Murgh Makhani (aka Butter Chicken) is loved by all. It’s probably a dish most people have tried out. I personally prefer a vegetarian version a LOT more. Butter Paneer or Paneer Makhani! Oh man- is it delicious. The cubed paneer melts in your mouth and it’s oh so good. I have been making this for about 14 years but it’s definitely been through many changes over time. This is the final recipe that I have been using the last 3 years or so. I came up with the healthier milk version of this in university when I was cooking for my vegetarian best friend and he eventually learned to make it too (only took a decade!). It’s the recipe that convinced Andre that vegetarian food is awesome! Out of everything I cook, it’s his favourite dish.

This recipe is the only one I held back from putting up on the site because it’s so dear to me and literally only 1 other person knows how to make it. But then I realised that I am (OBVIOUSLY) not someone who doesn’t share her recipes- I never have understood people who don’t share them- so here we go! I guarantee you that this will win over any guest! It’s mild, easy to make, and super indulgent. If you’re just making this for yourself, you may want to make a healthier version, so use milk instead of cream! Don’t skimp on the cream for guests though! Serve this with steamed basmati rice or naan.

What's New?

Visual. Visual. Visual.
Drool. Drool. Drool.

That is our goal.

We have changed the site around completely and have worked very hard to make things look better and to let our pictures play wing man to the recipes.

If you're reading this on your mobile, you will see a very simple, different site, but just scroll down to the bottom and click on Web to see the full version or go to your laptop!

My husband, Andre, and I will be KC from here on and I am really excited to start sharing our new recipes, videos, and more with you. So what can you expect?

  • A new segment: Wadre's (Wajida + Andre) Kitchen, where Andre, my sous chef, and I will show you how to make my recipes and talk about all things Wadre. Expect a lot of silliness and ridiculousness in this segment
  • Videos! Yes, you asked for them, so I'm doing them- but with my bff!
  • You can now comment under the blog posts via FB comments

What to expect in the next couple of weeks:

  • FB commenting capability under each recipe. I'm working on it!
  • Recommended content feature
  • More videos!
  • More recipes!!

Please let us know what you think of the new design, and don't forget to share the site or a recipe if you love it!

EXPECT OUR FIRST VIDEO LATER TODAY!

Happy Eating & Keep Smiling
