Burger Assembly & Burger Sauces!

6/16/2013

It is barbecue season and I am pretty sure you'll all be eating oh at least a couple of burgers in the next couple of months made in your backyard! So we thought we would put up a post about burger sauces (simple ones) + burger assembly.. although of course everyone likes their burgers a certain way!  Here you go. Let us know what you think as always!

Burger Sauce 1
What you need:
¼ cup Mayonnaise
1tbsp Mustard
1tbsp Ketchup

How To:
  1. Mix all the ingredients.
  2. Keep covered in a bowl until you are ready to use it.
  3. There are plenty of sauces that can be used in a burger. Here is just one of them. This sauce looks like Thousand Island dressing but tastes better. It can also be used as a dipping sauce for various snacks or vegetables.

Burger Sauce 2
What you need:
½ cup Mayonnaise
1tbsp Relish
1tbsp Chopped white onions
¼ tsp Black pepper

How To:
  1. Mix everything together.
  2. Cover and save in the fridge until you are ready to use it.
  3. Here is another sauce for burgers. I love using it with veggie burgers, but you can use it with any burger you want. It is tangy, has substance to it, is creamy and above all, it is absolutely delicious. I would suggest using about a tablespoon for each burger to get the best flavour.

Burger Assembly
What you need :
Top part of bun
Mayonnaise
Onion ring
Lettuce
Tomato slice
Cheese slice
Patty
Pickles or relish
Burger Sauce
Bottom part of Bun
Optional: Toothpicks

Making burger patties is probably the easiest part about making a burger. I had always found it challenging to assemble the burger without it slipping and sliding. So, I decided to try out different methods of placing the items. This method works perfectly and creates an aesthetically pleasing looking burger as well as one that is easy to handle. If you want, you can use 1-2 toothpicks to hold the burger together. It looks pretty and is easier to serve and eat.
