It's Tuesday! Why don't you gear up and prep for the fat flush you're going t need to do after the Valentine's day weekend for those of you who do celebrate it? Here's another great post by Nida our Tuesday regular. W.P

I don't know about you guys but I added a couple of not so good elements to my diet after feeling invincible and am totally feeling NOT SO good now LOL! So I started looking into intermittent fasting and thinking about juice cleansing, and I came across some really good to know information. And by the way, that whole intermittent fasting thing, really helps. I fasted from 10pm on a Sunday night to 7 pm Monday evening, with hot teas, almond milk, and lots of water with lemon. Afterwards I had plain chicken broth blended with spinach and I added eggs for protein, as a light and easy-on-the-stomach meal, followed by a weight loss tea. Not only was I not hungry, or cranky, but my mind was clear and I felt even better already this morning. Here is the tea that I made and a couple of tips to get your digestive system healed. If you're drinking the tea at night on an empty stomach, add chia seeds to it to help with elimination AND get omega-3's!

I will be sending more fat flushing tonics and techniques coming up to help this holiday disaster some of us might have experienced, until then, good eats and enjoy!

Green Tea for Weight Loss

Matcha Tea 1/2-1tsp
LemonGrass 6" long piece
Ginger 3 slices
Mint - 2 sprigs
manuka honey 1 tsp

Slice lemongrass in half lengthwise, peel it back then chop in half to 3" pieces
Add the mint, ginger to your boiling water and boil for a few minutes to get the goodies out, then steep with your matcha. After steeping tea, pour in cup and add honey

Gut Upgrades – Fitlife.tv

LEVEL 1, REMOVE GUT IRRITANTS
Gut-friendly swaps
Sugar: Juice fast to eliminate cravings, slowly decrease sugar containing foods (ie anything you ADD sugar to and all things that contain added sugar). You’ll have to pay close attention to food labels – get curious!
Dairy: Instead drink almond milk, coconut milk, or use ghee as a butter alternative. Lucky for us, these alternatives taste great!
Stress: Schedule some downtime, a massage, journal, go for a walk, meditate, do yoga, etc.
Processed Foods (gluten especially): Look for 1-ingredient options (ie broccoli, fish, etc.) Shop at your local farmer’s market or only from the perimeter of your grocer store. Fresh, whole food is sold usually here, rather than the middle isles.
Caffeine: Try green tea varieties and focus on getting more sleep.

LEVEL 2, ADD GUT HEALTH PROMOTING FOODS TO REPAIR AND SUPPORT YOUR DIGESTION
Fermented Foods: Add sauerkraut as a side dish to any meal, cod-liver oil/ butter oil blend as an amazing supplement. Other fermented foods to incorpo- rate include: Kimchi, Kombucha, and Miso. There are over the counter pre biotics you can take too
Healthy oils and good fats: Cook with coconut oil, consume aloe vera juice, and drink bone broth. Take an omega-3 supplement (ie fish/flax oil), and eat chia seeds!
Increase hydration: Buy a water bottle and keep it with you at all times (easy way to keep hydration top of mind). Aim for 80oz/day +
Probiotics & Digestive Enzymes: Find a good probiotic supplement at your local grocery store. Aim for 10-40 billion CFU
Prebiotics: Ginger (boil it) or consume ginger tea, garlic, onion, jerusalem artichoke, chicory root inulin, tincture of dandelion or dandelion tea, magnesium

LEVEL 3, OPTIMIZE WITH PROPER SUPPLEMENTATION
Supplements: Consider any of the following – Zinc, magnesium, quercetin, L-glutamine, vitamin A, licorice root, slippery elm root, Aloe vera , Marshmallow root, licorice root, bile salts, and selenium.
get capsules, tinctures...whatever it takes to get into your routine.
slippery elm can be taken as a gut tonic - you can also add it to food such as your oatmeal, or applesauce etc

LEVEL 4, SUPERCHARGE, TAKE YOUR GUT HEALING TO THE MAX
If the above protocol is not working for you then start by removing: Eggs, nightshade vegetables (peppers, eggplants, tomatoes, potatoes), nuts and seeds.
Do a 5-day fast (water or juice) or Complete the Alpha Reset by FitLife.tv
