"If yu waa good, yu nose affi run" is an old Jamaican proverb that means if you want success, you have to work hard. But some how, the saying just reminds me of scotch bonnet peppers, famous for being used often in Jamaican cooking... I guess I think of it because of the immediate sniffling that occurs right after you eat some really good food with proper scotch bonnet peppers! I got some from my mom in law's back yard a couple of days ago and plan to make a nice pepper sauce with them but in the meantime, here is a recipe for a Fusion Scotch Bonnet Spiced Cremini Mushroom & Paneer Pie that I came up with on the fly to use up some pie crusts. The fresh herbs really work well with the hot peppers- just make sure to serve the pie with some sour cream for those who cannot handle some heat! W.P
