I wasn't feeling well, so my husband decided to look through our website and see if he could actually cook something from a recipe. 30 minutes later, he came to me saying "Um... I don't know what we have in the fridge and which recipe/dish I can make with it"... I laughed and said don't worry, why don't you do the cutting and prep for me that's more than enough. Long story short, he likes to claim that HE made this Smoked Minced Meat & Potato Curry (Dum Aaloo Qeema) and I let him believe it! He definitely had fun lighting the charcoal as it was not the quick lighting kind and took a few minutes. This recipe is actually really simple and easy, and you do not have to do the "Dum"/Smoked Flavour if you don't want to or cannot. It adds the extra oomph for sure, but this curry is great without too. That, along with home grown peppers and potatoes and the organic halal meat made this typical dish really good. Aaloo Qeema is traditionally dry but I like to use the extra onion and tomatoes for more gravy/moisture. I find it's tastier that way. Make sure to use lean meat! Try it out, and I bet you'll make it again and again. W.P
