Being married into a Jamaican family means eating a lot of Jerk Chicken and I couldn’t be happier! Mmm! My father in law makes such moist, juicy jerk chicken in the oven or on the barbecue. Living in an apartment, I have to use the oven of course, but you can grill these wings if you prefer of course. As you might already know, you can use jerk seasoning on pretty much anything. A lot of people make their own jerk seasoning but you can get really, really good ready to use jerk marinades, sauces, and seasoning. I will be putting up a recipe for a home made jerk seasoning soon (trying to perfect it), but in the meantime, here is an easy recipe for finger licking oven baked jerk chicken wings. Most people prefer jerk chicken to be leg and thigh pieces and I make those as well, but wings can be even tastier. So next time you have some friends over, make these wings and they’ll thank you despite sniffling due to the heat factor in jerk. You can find milder jerk seasonings in stores these days but come on- what’s the point of that! If you’re gonna have jerk chicken, do it right.
