What you need:

2 tbsp oil
1 pack tofu- medium to extra firm
½ small onion chopped finely
Chilli powder to taste
Salt to taste
Black pepper to taste
Pinch of turmeric
1 tsp coriander powder
¼ tsp garam masala
¼ tsp kalonji (nigella seeds)
1 tsp cumin seeds or cumin powder
1 tsp garlic minced
1 tomato chopped
Some coriander|cilantro chopped
Juice from half a lemon

How to:

  1. Heat half the oil (1tbsp) and once heated, fry the chopped tofu on medium until sides get slightly brown and harder. Don’t move the tofu around too much or it will break. Turn the pieces careful in the middle as needed
  2. Remove the tofu from the frying pan
  3. Add in the other tbsp of oil, heat, then fry the chopped onions until translucent
  4. Fry the garlic for a bit then add in the rest of the spices, fry for a bit then add in the chopped tomato
  5. Fry for about 5 minutes then add in the tofu and make sure the masala covers the tofu
  6. Remove, add coriander and lemon juice!

Enjoy!!
