Minced Chicken Pasta Sauce With Linguini

Serves: 6

Using a bottle of store bought pasta sauce is easy, but it always has something missing. In this recipe I have used vegetables and minced chicken to add flavor to a bottle of pasta sauce.

What you Need:

1 pound Minced chicken
1 tsp red chilli flakes
2 tbsps chopped garlic
½ cup olive oil
½ cup chopped celery
½ cup chopped white onion
½ cup cubed red pepper
½ cup cubed yellow pepper
1 cup chopped mushrooms
Salt to taste
½ tsp Oregano
½ cup chopped Basil or 2 tsp dried Basil
1 bottle Pasta Sauce of your choice (Buy the best quality you can find)
Boiled Linguine
1 cup grated marble cheese to top it off

How to:

1.       Heat up oil in a large pot.
2.       Sauté garlic, celery, onion, red pepper, yellow pepper and mushrooms for 5-8 minutes until they are half cooked.
3.       Add red chilli flakes, salt, oregano, basil and minced chicken.
4.       Cook until chicken is fully cooked.
5.       Add pasta sauce and cover.
6.       Cook for about 25-30mins on low heat.
7.       Boil linguine in salt water while the sauce is cooking.
8.       Drain linguine.
9.       When serving, take out some linguine on a plate, top with pasta sauce and marble cheese.
